Relocate to Fort Worth

Northwest

(Driving to DFW Airport: About 60 minutes)

One of the best things about Northwest Fort Worth is the view. This area is home to the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, which is one of the largest city-owned nature centers in the country. Buffalo roam the grounds and alligators creep about the waters, while birds perch on high branches over these 3,621 acres of natural beauty. There’s a nature hike every Saturday morning and events like the Full Moon Paddle and Preschool Discovery Club throughout the year.

Communities like Lake Country Estates have been built around Lake Worth, which is near the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. The environment lends itself to the lake lifestyle and a pace that’s slower than other parts of the city. Homes with lake views are pricey, but still affordable. And sometimes, a little peace and quiet is well worth it.

This area is also home to Tarrant County College’s Northwest Campus, which specializes in aviation, fire technology, dance, and horticulture programs.
