There are twenty-nine hospitals in or near Fort Worth. Plaza Medical Center and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth rank fifth and sixth, respectively, among the hospitals in the Metroplex on U.S. News & World Report’s list of Best Hospitals in Dallas-Fort Worth. Plaza Medical Center offers diagnosis and treatment and is nationally recognized for cardiac care. Last year, its physicians performed 5,471 inpatient and 4,320 outpatient surgeries. Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital’s Marion Emergency Care Center, with a hundred beds, is staffed by full-time physicians, each equipped to care for injuries and illnesses ranging from heart attacks to broken bones.

Not rated, but also included on the list are Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth, Baylor Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth, and GlobalRehab Hospital-Fort Worth. Texas Health Resources is one of the largest faith-based, nonprofit health care delivery systems in the country and the largest in North Texas in terms of patients served.
