By partnering with Oncor, Cook Children’s Hospital, Albertsons, Lexus, UNT Health & Science Center, Live Healthy America, and others, Fort Worth has joined a nationwide movement to commit to better health. Established in 2012, the city’s FitWorth program is a healthy-city initiative to promote physical fitness and wellness. It encourages children, businesses, and individuals to be healthier, whether it’s by walking daily or bringing a sack lunch to work. FitWorth offers a free calorie- and fitness-tracking system, classes, and programs as part of its enterprise to get Fort Worth fit.
